Day 1: Dibrugarh
Arrival at the Dibrugarh Airport and transfer to the town for an overnight stay. Bought on a river Dribrugarh is known as the tea capital of the world. The finest Assam Tea grows in its area. You will have the evening free for you to discover the market and the atmosphere of the town.
Day 2: Dibrugarh – Ziro
After the breakfast, leave to Ziro (7-8 hours) which is the valley of the Apatani Tribe. On the way, you will have to cross the mighty Brahmaputra River is a wonderful ferry ride. Evening is free. Overnight at a guesthouse
Day 3 & 4: Ziro surroundings
Discover the fish farms of Tarin which are in a very high altitude, something not common for such farms. You will also be able to visit the pine groves and the craft centre. Later on that day drive down the valley to the rice paddy fields carved in terrace fields all over the sides of the valley, where the Apatani tribe is practising the rice cum fish farming as well. You will have the occasion to meet members of this tribe, which is one of the most interesting and fascinating of Northeastern India. Learn all about their customs and lifestyle by practising activities with them. If you are lucky, you will be there by one festival time and you will experience all the fun of the celebrations.
Day 5: Ziro - Daporijo
After breakfast, you will be driven from Ziro to Daporijo (6 hours), the headquarters of the Upper Subansiri District. In the way, you will visit the villages of the Tagin and Apatani Tribes. Overnight at a guesthouse
Day 6: Daporijo surroundings
Sightseeing in and around Daporijo. A few tiny villages can be seen on the landscapte behind the beautiful emerald Subansiri River. Some caves can be found around these villages. You will visit the villages of the Tagin tribe to discover how they live. Lunch can be taken on the nice picnic spots near Daporijo
Day 7: Daporijo – Along
After an early breakfast, take the road (5-6 hours) from Daporijo to Along which is the west Siang district of Arunal Pradesh. In your way, you will be visiting other interesting villages of the Tagin and Adi tibes. After this you can visit the Ramakrishna Ashram and take a walk on a hanging bridge only made of cane and bamboos, a very beautiful example of the virtues of the sustainable architecture. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Along - Pasighat
After an early breakfast, continue to Pasighat (6 hours), the headquarter of East Siang District and the land of the formers warriors Adi Tribe. On the road, you will reach some amazing sightseeing point of the valleys and the Siang River. The Miniyong and Gallong Adi tribes have been living in these valleys for centuries. The landscapes are marked by their practise of the terraced farming in high altitude. The crop fields and the villages add colours to the valley and can be subject to the most beautiful pictures. Pasighat town is located beside the feared Siang River (Brahmaputra River) at the foothills of the eastern Himalayas. You will have the day to visit a few villages of the Adi Tribe and learn more about their culture. Local sightseeing of Pasighat if the time permits it. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Pasighat - Dibrugarh
After early breakfast, drive down to the river port to catch a long and peaceful ferry ride to Dibrugarh Town. Arrive at Dibrugarh and check in hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure in Dibrugarh Town. Maybe you can spend a last moment shopping or try eating at any of Dibrugarh’s good restaurants.
Day 10: Dibrugarh
You may want to go for an early morning walk in the tea gardens of Dibrugarh, which provide an almost therapeutic relief to the soul. Drive to Dibrugarh Airport for departure flight. Tour ends.
