Satras and Mishing Tour

During this trip, you will discover the Majuli Island, known as the world's second largest river island. This is on this Island that the Neo-Vaishavite culture followed by the Assam people first emerged. Many beautiful Satras (Asamese monasteries) can be found within the Island. You will meet monks from all the generation, from the kids to the elders. During their whole life, they have a rich education and learn various forms of traditional arts, dance, music, drama and religion. The Satras live a very simple life but still, it is very easy and natural for the visitors to be consciously enlightened by the power of such simple and rich lives and beliefs.
