This tour features national parks with their rhino sightings and meeting with tribes inhabiting these lands. This incredible trip to North East Indian yard will give you an overview of this unexplored and fascinating region.




Day 1: Calcutta

One representative of Maharajah Driver will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Late afternoon, your driver will be at your disposal to accompany you to visit the temple of Kali. Rebuilt in 1809 on the site of an older temple, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali. It is from this name that the British named the Calcutta city which is an anglicism of Kalikata. Legend has it that Sati, the wife of Lord Shiva, lost her finger here. Since it is an important and extremely busy place of pilgrimage.


Day 2: Kolkata

The capital of Bengal and the largest city in India has become a thriving and active town. This is not an old city like Delhi with its old monuments. In fact, this is a British creation and was the capital of British India. Discover the city and the monuments of the colonial past, the Victoria Memorial - symbol of the city, the St Paul's Cathedral, Indian Museum, Belvedere, and Overview of Fort William and the famous flower market.


Day 3: Dibrugarh

Arrival at the airport then transfer to Dibrugarh Tea Mancotta Heritage Bungalow, located in the middle of tea gardens. The rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy life in a relaxed atmosphere. Bihu a cultural show will be organized by the villagers during the evening.


Day 4: Dibrugarh

After breakfast depart for a tour around the tea plantation to learn about its production. Evening tour of the city of Dibrugarh, the tea capital of India.


Day 5: Jorhat

After breakfast depart for Johrat. En route visit the historic city of Sivsagar and ruins of the Ahom dynasty that ruled Assam for 600 years. Tea plantation tour and visit the primates sanctuary where you can observe seven species of primates, including the timid Hoolock Gibbon. Free evening. Campfire on demand.


Day 6: Kaziranga National Park

Departure to your next destination, the Kaziranga National Park is one of the last areas of India that have not been modified by man. This national park has the largest population of Indian rhinos making it one of the most beautiful national parks in the world. Kaziranga is also one of the best places to see the giants of wildlife such as tiger, barasingha, the Asian elephant and buffalo. By late afternoon, jeep safari.


Day 7: Kaziranga National Park

Before dawn safari on elephant back in the heart of Kaziranga. This is the best way to see Rhino and other animals really closely. After breakfast at the lodge, walk in the cultivated terrace tea gardens, and visit the village of Karbi tribe. In the evening, if you wish, take safari, again, in the park to see the horned Rhinoceros. The park was opened in 1908 for the specific protection of rhinos.


Days 8 -9 & 10: Kohima

Depart for Kohima and Explore the unexplored - North East India! In the realm of the unknown, discover the treasures of the land of the Nagas, heads of the last hunters. The next three days will be in Kohima Camp coinciding with the Hornbill Festival, the annual gathering of the culture and tradition of the 16 tribes of Nagaland. The territory is characterized by hills and lush tropical forests.

The luxury tents in Kohima Camp, are individual, with private bathroom and include the services of a personal butler. This camp is located on the territory of Agami tribes. Get a welcome between shows of force, games and religious ceremonies. You can enjoy local rice beer and delicious tribal revenues.

The people of Nagaland continue to keep intact their traditions, visible in their costumes and hairstyles that incorporate tiger fangs, wear skins, feathers and other symbolic ornaments.


Day 11: Calcutta

Transfer to Dimapur's airport and flight to Calcutta. Free time for shopping at New Market.


Day 12: Calcutta

According on the time of your return flight to Europe, transfer to the airport and end of our services.


Possibility of an extention fof three days to Darjeeling.
